[Designed to transcend the ages of men and women]
The CENTURY PENCIL was launched in 1946 to celebrate the centenary of the company's founding. The design, with its elegant form and conical cap top, is a constant silhouette and has been handed down as a representative series of Cross products. The pencil has a rotary feed system, with the lead coming out when the body is held and turned clockwise, and being retracted counter-clockwise. As there is no knocking sound, together with the elegant design, it can be used smartly in a variety of situations.
[Fatigue-resistant 0.7 mm].
The longest-established writing instrument in the CROSS product range. The 0.7 mm lead is the most common in English-speaking countries, rather than the 0.5 mm lead that is the mainstream in Japan; the larger lead has a wider contact surface with the paper, which reduces the paper's tendency to scratch the surface, making it easier to write with good glide. It is also suitable for drafting, sketching and drawing. The thick lead, which does not break easily when writing down notes with an emphasis on speed, is particularly recommended for people who have many writing opportunities and high writing pressure, as it does not tire easily.
[CROSS history, lifetime warranty].
CROSS was founded in the USA in 1846 by the Richard Cross family. The company invented the stylographic pen, a precursor to today's ballpoint pens, and the mechanical pencil, the prototype of the mechanical pencil, and has continued to elevate the pen from a tool for writing to a symbol of luxury and status. CROSS products are guaranteed against mechanical failure regardless of the number of years of use, and are guaranteed against the basic functions of writing instruments, such as the smooth insertion and removal of lead, in daily use, promising a lifetime of ‘joy of writing’.
