Okay but after a few days after repairing a shoe as in way shown the glue failed , I think to have a successful bond it needs clamping once you glue it or a heavy weight to compress once you stuff the shoe with newspaper to maintain shape and full contact is made.

It is basically contact adhesive and the same as other products. It secured sole of my shoe but it came unstuck about 3 weeks later.
