Extend Basket Life: This filter is specially designed for the bottom of 58mm portafilter baskets. I find that the bottom of most 58mm portafilters is 2-3mm smaller than the top. Regular 58mm filters may be too large, while 54mm filters may be slightly smaller. Our 55mm filter fits perfectly and prevents fine objects from clogging the basket, effectively increasing coffee extraction.
