In 2003, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Zezo's Maestro All Mother of Pearl pencil series, Zezo presents a special Maestro Jubilee collection. Based on Zezo's belief in providing value to fans, this pen model is limited to only 223 pieces worldwide. This rollerball pen has a fine point (0.6mm line width) and smooth ink flow. The brass hardware is plated with shining chrome. Approximately 240 checkers of white pearl oysters and black pearl oysters from Tahiti with a Mohs hardness of 4.5 are used. These small square pieces are expertly cut by hand to the exact size and carefully placed into barrels. Following this painstaking process, the entire surface of the barrel is polished to a rounded, tactile, glossy finish. No clear coat required. These pens are beautiful, timeless and classic pieces of art. Each piece of mother-of-pearl has been carefully selected to exhibit the most vibrant color tones. These color change checkers change color depending on the light and include white, pink, purple, green, blue, turquoise, yellow, and gray.
