The pads are quite small, about the size of a long panty layer. (19 cm) So I would see it as a 'supportive measure', for example if you are using a menstrual cup that you do not fully trust (yet). Or with very weak menstruation. A shortcoming inherent in all reusable products: if you want to change the sanitary napkin away from home, you must have a container in which to store the used product. You should consider this before using it. The pads are very well made, can be cleaned very well and nothing leaks through the outside. A little tip for washing: fill a plastic container (with lid) with water and some detergent, rinse the pads under running water briefly after use and then soak them in the lye solution until your period is over and they are all together (im laundry net) into the washing machine.+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ The pads are pretty small (19 cm, about the length of a bigger pantyliner. Therefore I'd use them as 'supporting proviosion' (e.g. if you're not (yet) used to wear a diva cup) or during the weaker days. One thing that's in the nature of all things reusable: if you have to change the pad during the day (meaning out of your own home) you'll have to make sure you got something with you that'll keep the used pad untill you're home. That's something you should consider before using the pads. These pads are of good quality, no hanging threads or else. They are super easy to clean and nothings bleeds through the outer fabric (in the truest sense of the meaning). Pro tip: once a pad is used, rinse it under running water and place it in a plastic container (with lid) with water and detergent and collect them till your period is over. Wash them all together (in a washing net) in a washing machine.
The order arrived after about 2 weeks. I am really positively surprised by the first impression. By trying to live more and more sustainably, I try out various ways to not make it even more difficult for myself and the environment just because I get my period 😂 I would use the pads in the transition from the stronger to the weaker days use because the material in the middle strip is a bit thicker. The snaps work wonderfully - I can only imagine that they can tear the fabric after several uses. So a little more caution is needed here. Before I try the pads, I will definitely wash them first (60°C), which can already be the first hurdle. Edit: The first wash all survived great. A few already the second, as well as a rehearsal. They are a bit uncomfortable for the summer temperatures because they hardly regulate heat. In addition, they slip due to the very smooth fabric on the outside. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend them! This rating will be adjusted if I can speak of explicit experience. So far I'm definitely impressed!
I tried them out and they are very absorbent and quite leakproof. Since my flows are very heavy I still had slight leakages but not as much as I had with a disposable sanitary pad. I found them perfect with a longer disposable one underneath as a double protection. They must be rinsed well in cold water before washed with soap and hot water to avoid stains.
Beautifully colorful, which doesn't really matter, because you can't see anything of the pattern in the panties anyway. Since they are not attached to the slip but only buttoned around it, they slip. You don't notice it in tight trousers, so it's no problem at all. If you wear loose pants, it's totally uncomfortable.
